Sackett National Holdings (SNH), a privately held company, was founded over 20 years ago by a managing partner and a single investor, with an initial focus on investments within the burgeoning real estate data industry. It has since expanded its portfolio to include businesses in automotive, employment screening and retail energy. Dedicated to investing in and profitably growing companies with skilled management teams, SNH has delivered positive EBITDA from its portfolio every year since inception. This has enabled SNH’s portfolio companies to use internally generated funds to grow organically and through targeted acquisitions in its two “strategic verticals: Technology, and technology-enabled Business Services.”.
SNH has a track record of success in funding seed capital to incubate companies and selectively build them in to successful businesses. SNH has funded capital to a founding business leader in the data solutions to financial institutions. As the business started to grow, it supplemented the growth with a strategic acquisition and formed SettlementOne. Today, SettlementOne is one of the largest businesses within its portfolio of companies.
Emboldened by this success, SNH identified employment screening as an area of opportunity and started SettlementOne Screening. After validating the business model, it acquired Ohio-based PeopleFacts, a national leader with decades of success in the background screening industry and reversed merged SettlemenOne Screening. Today, PeopleFacts is one of the fastest growing employment screening companies in the US.
Building on its successful history, SNH provided seed capital for Sperian Energy–a company whose mission is to provide competitively priced retail energy products in deregulated markets. SNH subsequently purchased 100% ownership interest in Sperian. Sperian remains a thriving SNH portfolio company today.
Recently, SNH expanded its footprint in performance marketing within the automotive industry with its acquisition of AimLogic. In less than a year, AimLogic has shown tremendous growth, prompting the company to quadruple its investment in AimLogic.
As its portfolio companies experience rapid growth, through a combination of perspicacious investment decisions, operational excellence and partnering with best-in-class management, SNH continues to seek out investments. This enables SNH to ensure that SNH portfolio holdings retain their national leadership positions within their software, business services and information technology verticals while expanding its portfolio of successful companies.
